  1. Concussions are a very unfortunate, yet a serious injury. I have only had one concussion in my life and it was from playing softball. I am glad I did not play a contact sport in high school because I know some people that were always getting concussions from certain sports. The recovery process for concussions are very important. All the listed treatments above will help. I think the most important one is to not stare at your phone for long periods of time, that is what my athletic trainer told me would make it worse. Then obviously sleep, medication, eating and avoiding alcohol are important also.

  2. I think it is very important that people, especially parents of children that participate in sports, know how to recognize the symptoms of a concussion, as well as the ways that they can help their child recover. A concussion, especially at a young age, is dangerous and a child would have no way of knowing or understanding how to recover. It should be well-known to all parents about concussion recovery for these reasons alone. Great blog post!
